‘Norwegian Wood’ With a Splash of Chopin

If you’ve ever wondered what the Beatles’ classic “Norwegian Wood” would sound like as a Haydn string quartet, allow the young talent of From the Top and Time for Three to indulge your curiosity. Above, watch them perform an arrangement of the song by composer/conductor Steve Hackman, aka STEREO HIDEOUT. Pizzicato strings at the beginning are a tip of the hat to Chopin’s Ballade No. 2 in F, and then give way to the Lennon/McCartney melody.
